Default Help / Advice Needed - 2006 WRX Upgrades

Hi,

I recently brought an 2006 WRX 2.5 Impreza (Hawkeye), my first Subaru. It's very good and I'm hooked, but I just want more power!!! (This could get very expensive) My goal is 320-350 BHP. I don't want to over stress the engine or gearbox and It must be a great 'everyday' car with turbo lag kept to the very minimum.

I've already upgraded the ride handling (to save my spine), braking (to save my life) and gearbox (to save my boost!!!), as listed below:

- 18" Alloys
- Pirelli PZero Rosso
- BC Racing Coilover Kit
- Front Strut Brace
- Tar.Ox F2000 Discs
- Brembo HP2000 High Performance Pads
- K&N Apollo Induction Kit
- NGK Iridium Spark Plugs
- Subaru Short Shift Gear Lever / Linkage

These are the upgrades I'm considering:

- Walbro 255 Fuel Pump
- Power Boost Adjustable Fuel Pressure Valve
- STI TMIC (Inc. Mount & Hoses)
- Exhaust System (Not a De-Cat)
- Up-Pipe / Cat-Back
- Turbo (SC36, VF34 or Modified TD04 Hybrid - Any others?)
- Spool Valve
- Turbo Timer
- Ecutek Custom Remap

Which of these are worth the investment and what makes/parts would you recommend.

Thanks for your help.

Walbro pump, vf43 turbo, exhaust and a remap that should get your where you want to be. I would also bin the induction kit and just fit a good panel filter

Fuel pump good idea, fuel pressure reg is not needed, TMIC is a good idea, exhaust needs work definately as the WRX is very restricted by it, Turbo I would go SC46 billet if you can or VF34 will get you to 320+, spool valve not needed and Ecutek remap you can do, but opensource has the same results and is half the price. My price £300.

As said induction kit really screws with the MAF readings so would advise to fit original air box with Pro-R filter really.

Hope this helps,

Graham
