Default turbo inlet

my turbo 2000 impreza year 1999 has got a slight split in the turbo inlet hose thats the big long pipe that goes to the air box would this cause the check engine light to come on every now and then,it doesnt affect the performance when the lights on.
also would these replacment pipes be any good http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2005245591...84.m1423.l2649

If you've got a split in the air inlet pipe to the turbo ( after the MAF has read the air flow ) you are likely running lean / weak and so could burn or melt the pistons... anyway damage the engine.

That pipe "looks" OK, should be fine, a similar one from well known companies like samco would be well over £100. Worth a go.

But get that split fixed even if only with duck tape until you do change the pipe.

Basically yes, plug in the other hoses you take of the original pipe.

Might not be the easiest job, wriggling the new pipe under the manifold.

These other pipes plumb back into the inlet air and are breathers from the engine and the dump valve return.
There may be traces of oil in the breathers but not full of liquid oil.

Manifold off job. You probably can get away with loosening it up.
