Any help or advice???
I have a 1998 Impreza turbo which drives fine normally but have found lately that when excellerating while on the move the car suddenly holds back, the turbo pressure goes right up and we lose power. Within a spilt second its all over and i back off.
Thanks

beginnings of dying clutch, mine never ever slipped in lower gears but started in 4th and 5th.
put your foot down (normal driving) and the turbo would spool up and the torque would make the clutch slip slightly just got worse and worse from there on.
did last 6 months longer although i do limited miles.

Yeah mine is 4th and 5th too. Alsmost like having an automatic car, and waiting for the kickback.
