Default speedo swap and rpm signal MY00

I'm looking at swapping my speedo for an Sti one (rev counter in the middle) and fitting a shift light.

Are the clocks a straight swap or will there be a problem with the kmh/mph? The ones i've bought currently show 180mph but i'm assuming this uses some sort of converter but as I have a UK car will it automatically work ok?

Also, where is best to take an RPM signal from on an MY99/00 loom?

Cheers

i had a 99 uk classic and it obviously had uk clocks fitted, i changed them for the sti ones and it started to read in kmh so i had to fit a convertor to change it back to mph, it was dead easy to fit aswell.

hope this helps
