More power(300plus bhp) will require turbo (vf35), sti pink injectors, sti top mount IC, uprated fuel pump, a sportcat if you dont have it as part of PPP(or decat), and decatted rest of the exhaust system. That'll give you more than 300 bhp.

Thanks very much for the help any one else got any thoughts on the FMIC as this seems to be about the same price as sti top mount.

Your WRX's internals and gearbox - and the TMIC to an extent - would limit you from getting remapped beyond circa 350/350 (if you're sensible, that is ).

Therefore a FMIC would be an unnecessary purchase/hassle..... UNLESS.... you drive it on the limiter everywhere or track it lots. In which case a move to a FMIC will significantly reduce AITs and therefore be a very wise (read essential) move.

But for normal use/fast road blats, then the TMIC is fine.

TIP: On a TMIC, just don't do launches if you've been sat idling in traffic/at traffic lights for some time (esp. in hot weather). Drive off boost for about 1/4 mile before opening her up.
