Miles per tank

Miles per tank
Apologies if this has been done to death but, thinking of getting another impreza.
I used to have a 99 wagon with sports cat and a couple of other small mods and I used to get about 280 miles to a tank.
What could I expect out of a bog standard newage?
Many thanks for any replies

If it bothers you don't get one as you'll only get depressed!!!
I reckon somewhere between 200-250 on normal various driving.
On a long Slow run you should be able to easily eek out over 300 though.

I would be pretty ****ed off if it went below 300 tank.

Anyways, enough BHP bragging and retrospective speculation and back to the original question, mileage per tank from a bog standard newage, expect 250-300 depending on journey type.

However, mpg and miles per tank are TOTALLY dependent upon type of journey - motorways at legal speeds are very good - and heaviness of right foot combined with ability to look ahead.

I usually get about 120-150 around town. Did manage 377 from a tank ONCE.
But you're forgetting what these cars are about
It's all about smiles per gallon not miles

Mine does approx 200 miles per 45 litres (50 litre tank) and thats a mix of motorway cruising, motor way hard accelerating, then pootling around/stuck in traffic, and also spirited B road driving.
By my reckoning its 20mpg, which isn`t to bad considering I don`t hang around.
If I`m on a run I`ll do 250-280miles sat at 60/70/80.
If I`m on a B-road run cruising/spirited drive I`ll do 220ish.
But I have a Japanese close ratio box, great for shifting, but not so good for fuel economy, but I` didn`t buy the car for fuel economy.

on my Classic MY00 , decat dp tek 3 , just did london to berwick and back Mway/a roads 70mph (true gps) fraction over 30mpg , 300 miles to 45 litres so "could" on its full tank get to 400 miles, though that would be a bit nervy trying to time the shell stops!

I have a Hawk STI with 342BHP and the worst i have ever had is 160 to a tank. The best was 320 to a tank on the motorway at a 70-80 with about 20 miles of spirited driving.
I had worse economy before the car was mapped with motorway driving town was a little better but was worth losing a few miles for the BHP gain with the remap.

we cant have performance and expect the car not to drink, tbh i hardly look at mpg, once my car is below 1/2 tank shel is my next stop so dont realy check on the mpg on the Scooby, if you are worried about the scooby mpg shouldnt get a scooby and if you have a scooby you will put you foot down because thats what the car is about, these car have made for fun and the cost of this fun is the fuel consumption. well thats the way i see it but some people will have different opinion.
