Really annoying noise from front..
Got a strange vibration/noise.
Thudding coming from the front wheel area which starts from about 20mph plus... Thought at first it was the front wheels being buckled so whipped them off today and put them on the balancer and they were fine - no flat spots!
Not the type of noise you'd associate with a wheel bearing so i've ruled that out for now. It's a 'thud thud thud' noise. The thuds get closer together the faster you go so definately a rotational noise. Also remains if your just coasting in neutral (and also with engine off).
Also strangely stops when you turn the steering wheel slightly to the left, but makes no difference when you make the same adjustment right
Only thing i can think of is dodgey driveshaft but there's no clicking from the CV joint
Sound familiar to anyone cos i'm stumped.
Oh it's an MY03 STI (tein coilovers, anti lift kit, neg camber setup etc etc)

Ahh well, wasn't brake related as no feedback through steering under braking.
Was the bearing after all that!
Got some pictures of what was done/damaged in my other thread if anyone else has similar problems, see below:
