Door / Wing mirror wiring 3/4 motor fitting..????
Hi
I've recently had my wing mirror snapped off from behind the backplate and have decided to fit some after market mirror's Evo vi for about £75 as they look pretty smart and have indicators on there too. Does anybody know tho if the wiring should be 3 or 4 motor fittment on a 98 sport??? or anybody had a pair of these, are they any good?

Sport, I can't be certain, but on my 98 UK car, turbo 2000, the original mirrors have 3 wires. The folding ones have 5 wires.
I have a the original pair in the garage in 559 bright red, if you are interested, might split too.

Are you sure about 3 wires on the original ones? mine are folding but as far as I could see tonight there were 4 wires. are the 5 wire ones heated? Thanx for the offer but I think I'll go for the aftermarket ones.

Just been out to check and there are DEFO THREE wires on the ones I took off my 98 classic UK car.
I also remember there were FIVE on the folding ones.
The wires work in pairs, the folding ones, for example, fold one way if current flows one way round the wires, and open up if current flows the other way.
The three, thefrefore, are for up/down, and side/side, with one wire being common to both.
HTH.
