Default Tuning/Mapping...

Was just wondering if any of the tuners/mappers on here would be prepared to write a Subaru specific piece on the tuning process?

This has been done on several other sites in the past and has been a great thread for conversation/debate and brilliant for those with a technical mind.

Lets face it, almost nobody is going to start tuning themselves because they have read a thread on the internet and when the equipment needed will cost more than a remap by an experienced tuner anyway, the risk of blowing up is too great for most peoples budgets and if/when they it happens they'll come to you for a rebuild/map so your not likely to loose out by creating what would be a great thread and site resource, so, tuners, any takers?

It would be a shame if nobody stepped up...

It's been done for Fords and Evos, a lot of people were just interested to see exactly what happens in a mapping session, others liked to take logs (like me) but were WAY to scared to start adjusting stuff (also like me lol)

Watch this space. I believe the customer should know more about the tuning process and be more informed to make specific decisions regarding the whole process so i'm in the process of writing something to that effect.

In the last couple of threads i've seen like this, those that dont either get helped or poo poo'd completely, i'm pretty new to the forum and Subaru community so would have no idea which way that would go...
