hi folks i have a 94 import had the manifold off to repaint and put everything back together but hadnt started it for ages. so got it started the day but idles like ****e at 1000rpm wen revved higher its fine but once revs drop it goes back to lumpy idleling then wants to cut out and wen it does cut out it sometimes lets out a air sound like somebody has just pressed a airgun any thoughts wat could be

You've got an airleak either from a damaged gasket or you've missed a vacuum hose when you put it back on. It could also be a leaky o ring from the fuel rail because I've seen that happen before and it can suck in air from there.

What you need to do is get it running and spray WD40 or something similar around the areas it could be and see if the engine speed rises, if it does that's where your leak is.

no air leaks now but wen i start it it still runs a bit lumpy then wen it cuts out aloud bang comes out the exhaust its dain my heed in like whys it doing that
