Default Mild Upgrade Turbo?

Hi guys. I am in the process of collecting the parts for a mild tune up to about 300bhp on my 05 WRX. Question is although a VF 34/35 would be nice but maybe overkill wouls i get away with a TD05 and still get the figures i need.
I have so far , pink injectors, 3port valve , FMIC (so i can use my reverse Scoop bonnet) and an induction system if the FMIC doesn't let me run the standard box.

VF28 or a VF34 would be my choice for that level. Both excellent turbos.

The VF's would be great but i think a little out of my pocket for now, so TD05 it is. I dont want to go mad as its only a WRX, i think the future will bring a STI

just a question guys, wouldnt a VF24 fit blob 2.0l? and its good for just over 300bhp and quick spool without breaking the bank.

I ran a TD05 16G on my bug WRX with the usual mods at about 325 BHP........great drivability, works well with the 5 speed ratio's , never thought it was going to killl me and the clutch just about survived too

Cheap as chips to buy and tough as well...........run it without a dump valve if you dare LOL

Td05 is a good tough turbo ,but for quick spooling like daz & 53 have said you wont beat a vf24/28/34 for quick spooling, and they will all top 300bhp with a few good supporting mods.
Not to sure what you mean about price , as a vf28 can be picked up for the same sort of money as a td05. This one cost me £150 and still pushing 330 bhp 18 months later
