hi all , i have a 2002 wrx and i want the interior light to come on when i open the door ! surely this should be an option ? mine doesnt seem to be able to do so ? only i have a garage and getting in at night is better with some light !!

ive got a 2001 bug and mine light comes on when you open the door ......check the switch on the interior light unit if not the door switches

 

Interior light unit switch has three positions:
On all the time, Off all the time and on when door is open.

 

mine doesnt have a switch !!! just 2 buttons ? left light and right light ?

should be another light, in the roof, sort of in the rear passenger space. If that makes sense.

 

Thats the map lights your looking at above the mirror. Try looking in the centre of the roof just behind the front seats.

 

As above it's the light in the middle of the roof you want mate.
