I went for a drive in the car today after it being parked up for 5 weeks and found that there is a squeaking sound when on righthand lock, at first i assumed it was the caliper sticking as this has happened before after having been parked up for weeks on end
So after going for a 30 mile drive it was still happening so i managed to get it on the lift ramp at a local garage. There seems to be enough movement in the caliper so that ruled out seizure but it may still be sticking slightly. It was at this point that i noticed that there was signs of rubbing on the CV boot, so i turn the steering to full lock and realised that when the car is on the ground and weight is applied to suspension, the droplinks are touching the CV boot on full lock![Confused](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/confused.gif)
I have a potential buyer for the car and could really do with getting this sorted before the weekend![Frown](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/frown.gif)

As it's an STi it would have had metal drop links as standard. Unless the ball links were knackered, there was little point in changing them in the first place?
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe that to fit the STi (alloy wishbone) the CDF links have to have a spacer and longer bolt?
