Will a crankshaft from a my99 be the same as the crank in an my03?

They are interchangeable, yes, as long as they are both EJ20's.

I was told that there is one with a thrust washer on journal number 5 and another with the thrust washer in the centre, are these interchangeable? Thanks for the swift reply.

No - you can not fit a center thrust crank to a rear thrust block.

Center thrust cranks usually found on Versions 1~4 (1994-1998).
Rear thrust cranks Version 5 onwards (1999 on).

A 99 should be a V5/6 Rear thrust. Therefore would be fine.


But need confirm above.
