Default Jolting turbo 2000

Hi
My impreza 2000 turbo 1999 is jolting when I put my foot down. Revs are still there and it happens for a split second.

Any ideas?

Probably fuel cut due to boost spike because of the cold weather.......Does it feel like you are hitting a brick wall?

I had what sounds like a similar problem with mine recently. Took it to a local specialist who put it on their rollers and said the two things which were probably contributing to it were a faulty lambda sensor, and the wrong spark plugs having been put in, with too large a gap.

They changed those bits and it is running perfectly now!

It was doing it in the summer too, Fells like if you was towing a car and they tapped their brakes.

For the fuel cut issue have you tried cleaning the boost solenoid?

If it is intermittent as you describe my best guess would be Fuel surge, often happens to classics when they have 1/4 tank fuel or less - especially when cornering - the fuel sloshes around the tanks and misses the pump pick up momentarily. Had this several times in my MY99 turbo.

Scoobywoody, I took it to Clive Atthowe in Norwich. Not cheap but they know their stuff, and it's the only 4WD dyno around here as far as I know.
