I've noticed a few people are doing this mod as I believe they are more reliable. I understand the earlier classics had individual coil packs which are prone to failure. My question is, is it worth doing on a classic which has the single central coilpack (v3 onwards) or is just as cheap/reliable to stick with the OEM bits? I have a misfire on my car which is definitely not the plugs and I believe to be either HT leads or Coil pack. Thanks

the single coilpack is usaly reliable, more likly to be duff leads or incorrect plug gaps. but yes it is worth it

if you use the genuine ones with standard power (<260) they are fine.
only ever replaced one of mine in 3 years.
£60 each genuine.

 

I'm around 360 bhp so probably a worthwhile mod?.

 

Dbay did mine for me not so long ago, and I haven't looked back. Well worth doing.
