Injectors?????

not sure want injectors u already have buy your mods and fit them just before a reamp the mapper will be able to tell you if your taxing your injectors or not. as for mods start with exhaust decat pipe walbro pump and a airfilter and take it for a map if your still not happy start thinking bout a bigger turbo and some headers with similar mods i made 313 bhp from my t2000

your intercooler will handle 300 bhp but if you want more then that you lll need to uprate your intercooler other that that they look good and give you room for further upgrading , bear in mind standard engine arnt going to last long running much more. after 350 bhp itdefinatley on borrowed time

Which MY UKDM Turbo 2000 AWD do you have?
I believe MY94-98 were grey 380cc, just like the WRX contemporaries (but yellow 440cc for the MY97/98 STi).
And 440cc for all turbos for MY99/00 (from around Sep 98>..)

its a weird one its right on the change over for the face lift, it came with the facelift front end as standard but still has the old style dash. think its the MY94-98, was thinking of putting a front mount for looks as well, not wanting to go to high on power as its my daily driver so want to keep it quite tame for the misses to drive as well =(,

If it's defo all original as you say, it will be a MY97 "phase 1.5". As you say it's the very first facelift, and is superior to the MY94-96 (aside from the fact that they had a larger TD05H 16g turbo!). Does it have a coilpack slap bang in the centre of the inlet manifold? And induction trunking underneath the driver side of the inlet manifold to the turbo?
As per my post above, then I think it will have just 380cc inj. They're not much good for more than 270-280bhp. Your car will have a TD04L turbo which will max at the same power too. So even if I've got it wrong and they are 440s, then you're still limited by the turbo anyway!
So you don't NEED to change the turbo/inj/TMIC..... IF 280 is what you'd be happy with when remapped? What you will need though is ESL daughterboard (MAFlass version) for the ECU, plus Walbro, decat or sportscat d/p and decent system. New plugs/panel filter/fuel filter wouldn't go amiss either...

Around £550 I think. JGM does 'em I believe. He's a mobile mapper and can map at a location of your choosing.
MAFless: by removing the MAF tube removes a potential restriction (albeit not an issue at power levels we're discussing). More importantly, it removes a potential item for failure. And when/if they do, it can cause engine damage. It's not common for them to fail though - esp. the earlier MY93-98 "hot wire" types, which your car has.
But the ESL is the best ECU option for your MY, re. price/features anyhow! - so going MAFless is a no brainer. Win-win you might say.
