Hi Kris. Sorry, can't advise on wing located

I have this arrangement on my Type R wihich has ABS and a FMIC

Also. Remove the bonnet rubber strip on the driver's side and higher the bonnet stops both sides. This will raise your Bonnet seating position a little but let in alot more air when travelling

Bet that draws a lot of hot air in from the engine even with the heat shield

I monitor ACT's, piggy backed off the Simtech sender. Also a 'hands-on' check I occasionally do is to stop whilst driving, jump out and quickly put my hand on the filter, pipework and divider. Last few months the cone has been 'cold' - quite a bit lower than ambient. This suggests the ram pipe and bonnet gap are both working. In the summer the divider did get hot, but the cone remained cool. The intake feed pipe comes from the ram in the bumper. The divider really needs heat foiling. No need to do this till summer now

Cone size is more than ample for the 331bhp

The divider was fabricated (start with a piece of cardboard first, the copy it in metal - carbon fibre is better to use), the cone is a pretty std K&N (£25), and the Samco is an off the shelf

Can I just ask how you piggy backed off the simtek for the reading? Been trying to do his for a while as my blitz will monitor a temp output if I can get it to work lol

Will be following this with interest, need to do something similar in my engine bay. Just out of interest, the main trend with these seems to be K&N cone filters, is there any reason why these are more popular? I've currently got an HKS mushroom filter fitted to mine which I think would be easier to fit in due to it's lower profile, I'm not going for massive power outputs but would like to do a few mods in the future so would this be sufficient?

The Mushie's are generally regarded as producing eddy currents
