my subaru a r plate wagon drives superbly, but just recently got a odd clutch pedal issue, can anyone advise or help me here please>?

clutch works fine as it should do, but upon depress of clutch, you change gear, let your foot off the clutch, the pedal comes up on its own as it should, then i would say the last couple of inches it stops then at the last bit will just spring or pop back fully back up to the normal position? what is this, a adjustment under near the pedal itself or another issue here?
bit annoying when changing gear as you get the pedal pop up the last little way/bit each time upon gear change!
