Cool maf sensor unit query

hi.

i have a blue/purple sticker on my maf unit on a r plate impreza wagon turbo.
does anyone know the difference on the colour stickers with these units, so does it matter if i buy a maf unit say with a green sticker or does it have to be the same colour, whats the difference please?

can anyone explain normal trouble symtoms with a maf or mass air flow unit or sensor please?
could be changing the coil or this, not sure which one is at fault so far as changed plugs and leads and have same issue.

thanks.

Cool reply

ok thanks for that.

can you advise on how to determine if the maf sensor is at fault or a coil fault please>?

car drives fine ,idles fine, certain speeds like motorway you feel like a little lack of power now and then as tho you are low on fuel! any ideas on this, replaced the plugs and leads so far, now thinking maf sensor or coil or even fuel pump? dont want to spend a fortune finding out, or can i get a code reading somehow?
thanks.

Mine was running lean,a wagon was with me,so within 2 mins we changed it over and it was fine I have a few mafs you could try but mine are jap's.so orange
From what I have been told, plus also going in a car with a fecked maf it felt like it was running out of fuel, then pick back up again, then die again etc etc
