Any tips for lower ball joints removal?
Hi guys I have just noticed that the rubber boots are perished on the lower ball joints on my classic 98 wagon turbo. Has anyone got any tips for removing the old ones. One other thing are they pressed in and secured with the nut or does just the nut hold them in the arm. Thanks Rez.

Best way is to take bottom hub bolt out (odds on this ****** will shear) once its out spread hub slightly with blade screwdriver then belt wishbone downwards - this will make the ball joint pop out of the hub - then use ball joint splitter to seperate ball joint from wishbone ( i found it easier to take the wishbone off completely and do it on the bench)
Be prepared for some big heavy clanging and banging moments trying to hammer it out of the hub tho - its a right laugh(not).
