Default Fpr questions

Hey folks,

Im curently Aiming for 575bhp forged 2.1 etc

I'm currently using 850cc lateral modded injectors

Cars running 451 at the mo

My question is - if I were to run 575 bhp how much fuel pressure would need to be increased via a fuelab fpr

I'm aware that I will also need other things like 044's twins maybe

Cheers

Steve

Dont think you would need twins really but all depends on how you're going to use the car. Aeromotive & Deatchwerk do decent fuel pumps aswell.

They should cope fine. If you can get 1000cc injectors then it would be better. If your not going to track the car then the swirl pot is not needed, just spend the money on better pumps instead.

Slight hijack thread here to save me starting my own one. My aim is to try and get my Turbo 2000 to 300bhp on a small budget. Been reading on andyforrest and similar, apparently the 380cc grey injectors fitted to my 97 car are good for 300bhp with the fuel pressure raised to 3.5 bar (standard is only 3 bar so that's not a huge increase)

Just wanted to know how I go about doing this, is it just a case of replacing the standard pressure regulator with an aftermarket adjustable one? Is it a good idea? Anything else I need to worry about?

Yeah but problem I've got is mine is a 97 and all the yellow 440 injectors seem to be for 99 classics? Having trouble finding a cheap set of yellow 440s to fit mine. Unless I can change the fuel rail as well or something? Really struggling to find info on this kinda thing thought there'd be stickied threads with it all in but no such luck!

Hi Steve

not sure if your 850cc will be enough for 600bhp,i would say ID 1000cc should be enough for 600bhp+

Swirl pot is good too have and really its just great if you are looking to do some track days, drags etc.
