Default Turbo timer usage ??

Hi all
I have a WRX bug with a PPP and I purchased it with a turbo timer already fitted, I have had my car for over a year and only tend to switch it on if I've been a bit lead footed on the way home from work and it's set for 1min 30 secs which was the timer settings set fron the previous owner but the question I have is, how often should you use a turbo timer for normalish driving and how long is the ideal cooling down time ?
Cheers 😉

I drive steady a few miles from home allowing the oil to circulate an then leave the key in ignition for a minute at standstill, turbo timers invalidate your insurance

your not meant to need them these days. i have 1 and use it if ive been doing some "spirited driving" but if you have just drove to work or whatever doing normal driving 10 seconds is fine. mine just does 10 seconds if i turn the key straight off or i press twice for a 1 min cooldown if ive been "on it" lol.

I fitted one about 6 months ago, never used it..lol.

Just take it steady for the last few minutes and leave it ticking over for 30secs.

As above. I have one fitted with it set to 10 minutes, in the morning before I leave for work I start it up, turn on the turbo timer, pull the key out and leave it on the drive running.

Come back 10 minutes later ready for work after my morning coffee and the car running with the heaters on for 10 minutes has de frosted the it and warmed it up nicely for me!

Same here, mine is set for 10 seconds but can be changed if necessary. I used to use it when up in Scotland for defrosting the car also.
