Wd40 left overnight or there's a freeze type of spray can for cracking nuts off.

When changing my downpipe for the first time we used heat and it totally fubbared the studs in the end :-( total ballache of a job...

Good luck ;-) and I hope your knuckles don't get too bashed!

Plusgas all the way. WD40 is useless.

Also, if using a socket set to undo the nuts, make sure it's decent quality i.e. hardened sockets.

And only use HEX sockets i.e. 6-sided. 12-sided sockets will no doubt round the nuts' corners.

Also, a breaker bar will come in handy (if you have room to employ it, of course).

I have fitted 6 turbos in the last 2 yrs and found the best thing is to get the turbo hot first before attempting to remove them.Heat & some decent sockets should get the job done without to much fuss.

I just removed my turbo this week and all it needed was an overnight soaking with penetrating oil and then a decent 6 sided socket with a breaker bar/really big ring spanner.
