What fuel pump
I had my car re mapped yesturday and need to upgrade my fuel pump as the one init is original.. A freind of mine has given me his old uprated one but wanted some advise to see if it's any good for me.. It's a unisia jecs a42h24 020 3414n

Walbro 255 is the ubiquitous choice. It's its VFM which is the reason.
But there was a thread on here which showed a graph of, when at higher fuel demand, the voltages tailed off alarmingly i.e. just when you don't need it too! If it's to be believed, then that's not good i.e. a potential for melted pistons/big end failure through det.
The HRC's graph, by comparison, didn't tail off no where near as bad.
That said, I have a Walbo 255 on my 384bhp STi5... and also had it on my previous MY93 WRX running 282bhp. I had no issues, running-wise.

Disagree here, don't bother with a Walbro. Get a decent one. Pays dividens in the long run

Thanks for all the info.. Well I've found out that the unisia jecs pump is defo no good as near standard so I'm goin to defently get a walbro 255 as advised by the guy who did my map!!
