Had a FLASHING ecu light twice over a few weeks now while cars warming up on drive,it flashes slowly about 6 or so times then goes off and stays off.no code logged in ecu either.had ecu light come on and stay on last week too but had 0031 code so changed lambda in manifold and sorted that one out no probs.
Any ideas on why the ecu light would flash as ive not heard of this, also why no codes stored if it flashes ?any help please ? Carl.
Both times its happened it was cold, about 0 degrees to -1 degrees.

ECU flashes when something like a sensor goes out of range but isn't going to be a threat to the engine so doesn't need to light a full CEL or go into limp home mode.
Sometimes sticks a code in the historic file but not an active code.
DENSO ECU far to complicated LOL

Yes mate idles fine, drives fine, ive got a cheap memoscan gauge tool from ebay that im sure says if it has any codes pending and it says 0/0 codes, also reset it last week after doing the lambda and that was with a propper snap on code reader/scanner.
Only seems to happen when really cold so maybe its something of nothing.if it was a real problem it would show a code i guess.
