Rub down well with wet`n dry paper (280ish grit) used wet to provide a good key. Spray clear plastic primer, then the correct colour primer for your body colour (white in my case for DBM) Give this a light keying with fine wet`n dry. Apply body colour (basecoat as it`s known if metallic) Don`t use too many coats of this or you may get too dark a result. Finally the clear coat, usually acrylic. You may need a number of coats to provide good protection to the colour. Allow plenty of time between stages and don`t flex the strips - difficult! It could all be done with them already on the car but this may mean lots of masking and the car being out of action for some time! I actually began the job one weekend and stuck them on the next.
All the stuff is available at Halfords except the body colour which I had made up in an aerosol at a local auto paint suppliers.(You`ll need the paint code)

string and chalk maybe..?
sounds weird but tie some string around the front and rear, coating it in chalk... and making sure it look spretty level then pull back the string slightly (i.e. away from the bodywork) and let go. It should snap back and leave a very gentle line along the car - and if it's not right, just wip away and try again!

The strips line up just below the groove in the doors, they shouldnt take too long to fit but i was lazy and had mine put on by the dealer when i had the car serviced at 1k ![Wink](https://www.scoobynet.com/images/smilies/wink.gif)

Just stick em on. Took 20 minutes all round - as Tony said - they line up just below the groove. The front wing ones always look 'out of true' because of the shape of the wing but don't have nightmares.
