Default Sti ra steering rack

Would any one know if all sti ra's have got a quick rack? The reason I ask is I have bought one from a member on here, asking before hand if it had 2.25 turns lock to lock which I was told it did, only to receive it and checking it has 2.75 turns which to me is a normal rack. The seller now says that all ra's have quick racks and this is what it is so I must be wrong.
Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I believe all RA's had the quick rack. RA's were build specifically to meet rally homologation rules, and therefore came with the quick rack specifically for rallying.

I'd guess someone has changed it in its potential 15 year life- so for him to say it came from an RA simply isnt good enough!

No.....only the sti ra version 4/5/6 limited came with the "sti quickrack" which is 2.25 turns.....it was however an option from the sti catalogue

2.75 rack is the standard uk turbo rack iirc !

Think you had the 2.75, 2.5 (fast rack) and 2.25 (quick rack).
Fast rack as above from rooferman, quick rack on 4/5/6, option as above on early cars.

There were just the 3 racks available ...

2.75 turns is the standard UK rack........ there is no fast version available.

The 2.5 version is refered to as the fast rack..

The 2.25 is the quick rack.
