Default Anyone had a rebore?

Hello,
I've phoned my local Rebore guru's today only to be told their machine doesn't enable them to rebore Impreza blocks. (Possibly as they are a block rather than a barrel). Has anyone had a rebore done and if so who by? I'm a bit sceptical posting something of this weight and worried about it being damaged in the process.
I'm in the South East, Crawley to be exact....
Thanks

i know it's the SW, but send it to Engine Tuner in plymouth.

I think they could bore / hone the block for you, but they would not do it properly, so are doing the right thing and telling you to go else where.
to bore the block would be no different than to bore any other engine.

however when boring / honing the Scooby Block you should use Deck plates, I am guessing they do not have these and that's why they say cannot do it.

Engine tuner have Deck Plates and can do it for you properly.

My local engineer did mine & messed it up. Had to go to Advanced Automotive to have it sorted out. Call Nick on 01179 672344, he doesn't charge much to collect just the block halves.
