Default UK importing from Ireland

Hi guys im new to the UK and to this site so im a bit green with all the rules both on site and regarding your import and MOT laws too so any help would be greatly appreciated.

I drive back in Ireland a 03 Impreza Sti JDM.

Back home my log book has it down as a WRX, this is where my questions begin. If I was to bring my car over here to the UK would my car be registered as a WRX then when it comes to its first MOT would they find out it is a STI and would there be problems because of that.

Secondly the car has original Jap clocks with the speedo in Kph would this be an issue for MOT?

Thank you for any help in advance

Chew.

Which part of Ireland are you bringing it over from?

If its from the north all you have to do,is pop to DVLA and get the book swapped over.be careful as they may try and charge you for another plate,if you have 3letter 4number design but you are fully within your right to keep you plate and not get charged. As with MOT they will probably only put subaru impreza on it, so wouldn't have thought you'd have any issues there.not sure about the km clocks.
