Does a workshop manual (for removal/rebuild of UK Turbo engine) exist. I see that there is one for a Legacy - will this suffice??

Can anyone help??

Cheers

I saw an advert in the local newspaper for someone selling one for £70, mail me if you want me to look the paper again for their contact details.

Chris,

found a Diagnostics manual on your site - although I could not find the "number 1 conrod so loose that it can be moved by hand on the crankshaft" in the index....

do you have the actual rebuild manual on your site???

Cheers

My Site wont hold the whole manual - so I just posted the diagnostics section as that is the most commonly requested.

The Engine Section is 18MB PDF.

How much can your email handle?

I can always zip it & send it in chunks...

Don't suppose you cut a CD with the information on it? Will reimburse for CD, postage and a few beers while the CD is cut...

Cheers

Wink

Any chance that you could see your way to cutting a second CD ... I would also be very happy to pay CD, postage + some more beers

I always thought that Beers was a better unit of currency than the Euro!

Thanks

CD sounds like a TOP idea.....group buy ??

Have you got the whole workshop manual then ??

Ok Peeps - too many offer of free beer (can't believe I just said that)!

I'd be Pi$$ed & the CDs wouldn't get cut properly + I'd be at it all day long

This wasn't intended to be a commercial project or full time business so I'm currently investigating more free webspace with no file size limitations, will keep you posted.

Chris, don't want to throw cold water on your good intention to supply the manual, but have you thought of the copyright angle if you distribute to the "public", unless there is exemption for non-profit reproduction or circulation. Distributing a CD may be different from just posting a PDF file on your website. The USA is having a big copyright fight on MP3 distribution on the net.
Cheers.

it maybe 'better' for you to set your computer up as a
'hotline server' with an ip address/login/password you could post here.
post a log in disclaimer "this computer is for backing up purposes only etc...". Oh look somebody backed up a scooby repair manual.... oops i seem to be downloading it by mistake i hope no one notices . Of course this sort of thing depends on your band width (fixed rate 24hr broadband would be nice) or whether you want your computer turned on 24/7. 'Edonkey' could be another solution. fell free to email me for further info

This still counts as copyright theft. Surely this BBS cannot afford to be seen condoning such activity?
