Default any benefit having a later intercooler put on?

i have a my94 wrxsti jdm and wonderd if a later intercooler would be of any more benefit then the one i have now which is standard?if so which one and how easy is it to install?thanks in advance.Lee

Yes, it makes a difference, but no, it's not easy, it needs the undertray from the later cars too.
And all the brackets.

If you ARE doing it, get a V5 or V6 STi one.

A V5/V6 intercooler won't physically fit as it catches on the bulkhead. You will need to trim some of your throttle body 1st iirc, but worth doing as the early type offer even less cooling.

you need to relocate the clutch resevoir as well. to be honest its a pain and a lot of hassle from what ive read from guys who have done it. i was gonna try it but thought better of it lol
