Problem after refitting standard parts - running weird...
Ok so i told u guys i recently fitted a fmic, cone air filter to my x reg classic turbo 2000. I told u guys it was fluctuating under power and u guys recomended tune and remap... Anyway now i have another prob, i have popped the old filter and cooler back on so i can drive it until i can afford the tune and map.
I drove it and its fluctuating under power after its started boosting and sounds like its trying to missfire! so what do u guys think.
Could the ecu map have changed cos of driving with them other parts - the ecu on the car has never been mapped before it is standard!
Or maf sensor suddenly go?
Aint got a clue but was running perfect before. Wish i hadnt started messing now booohoo
cheers guys

Yes everythings fine!
Couple of things i wana check too see if these could have anything to do with it...
I changed the plugs cos i done a full service at same time, are these very sensitive to the plug gap??
And could the dump vanve on it be causing probs... It never before but i noticed the litle nipple on the tip that the bleed hose goes too was a little loose. Its a bailey. Could i just cover the dump valve over to test??

Yes disturbing the plug leads has been known to damage them, with an effect on the running.
I thought you said you had gone back to stabndard? FFS bin the Bailey, go back to a standard d/v.

Well standard when i bought it it had just a bailey and an exhaust on it. Would ht breakdown cause this in higher gears then?? And what is the correct plug gap so i can wack a feeler gauge in there.
I want a standard dump valve on it i just need to source one.
So wouldnt be the maf sensor theen??
So does it sound like ht breakdown then when its happening uner load then it can get thru 1st no probs really.
Thanks

PFR6B NGKs tend to already be gapped to .8 as needed but they still need to be checked before installation. The fact that you have to remove them to check will mean you won't make the same mistake again. Hopefully this is an easy fix
