Default Remap yesterday and got a weak actuator :(

Got my car mapped yesterday and found i had a weak actuator friend of mine has a -31 collins unit that i can have off a ford cossie t3 turbo in good working order just wondering if it will be upto the job ?

(I'm running a my05 wrx with a Td05 turbo 16g housing 18g compressor wheel)

3 port boost solenoid would be an easier fix most likely

Really? it seems the actuator is broke due to the fact even boost kept dropping off even with the pipe disconnected ??

ah - def broken or faulty turbo or boost leak or ...

Remove the actuator and check the wastegate is not jammed etc. You could also check the actuator whilst it's off the car.

As i said think the actuator is weak it hits 1bar ok @284hp and hits 1.3bar with the pipe disconneted from the actuator but then drops off as if the exhaust gas pressure is forcing the wastegate open also you can move the actuator rod quite easily with a pair of pillars . Anyway sorted the collins unit now with a bit of fabrication just gotta get it set again cheers guys for your input!!
