Default Bigger scoop for bigger speed?

I've read on lots of posts that classics dont like to be driven at much over 110mph due to air not reaching the 'cooler. Is this overcome by running later/bigger scoops and is there anything to back this improvement up? Not fancying running a fmic setup yet.

The man to talk to about this would probably be Harvey (Smith).

If it's possible to test it with air flow, fuelling etc, Harvey will have done it.
