Default little help please. (update)

hi, the car i have is a 1999 impreza turbo 2000 uk model,
the problem is when i put my foot down the turbo doesnt kick in when it should, it like takes a while (its not turbo lag as i know what this is) also it sometimes cuts out.

any ideas what it could be. cheers.

P.S it doesnt happen all the time its just now n again.

Phew, that could be anything.

First off, does it show any codes stored on the ecu, (fault codes)? If you don't know how to read them, do a search.

just tryed to start the car now and it wouldnt start unless i pumped the accelerator,
first time it has done this.

How are you starting it?

UK cars came with specific instructions NOT to touch the throttle pedal AT ALL when starting as this causes it to flood.

well today it wouldnt start at all unless i touched the pedal as other wise it would just keep trying to start but nothing.

had the aa out and they said its bad fuel, not sure if thats true or not though.
