Yet Another Classic Immobiliser/Keypad Issue
My 00 UK 2000 Turbo failed to start at a petrol station yesterday eve.
Never had a prob with the key fobs b4.
BUT the petrol station was directly opposite a police station with twin tetra masts that i didnn't realise
Hence, no start...didn't have the keypad no so had to get recovered.....1/2mile up the road she fired up instantly
I've read loads of threads so know the problem, causes and how to rectify.
However, is there anyway to know if you have correctly changed the keypad pin???
I tried today using the *17856*92*wxyz*wxyz* method but the keypad led just flashed fast afterwards.
Did i do something wrong or enter it all a bit too quickly??
Only tried it once and car was fine to start on the key fob afterwards.
Any ideas??? If not i'll get a new SACC 3465 instead as its the only garage near me with V Power and i can't get recovered from there every week when i fuel up

Un-arm with key fob, get in and enter the new code. You'll get the beeping noise like you do if you arm with a door open. Thats your countdown to lock up before the alarm sets. If it doesn't do this, the code change didn't work

Thanks i'll give it a go tomorrow.
Is there a finite number of times you can try to change the pin using that method or is it like entering the 4 digit pin wrong 3 times and locks completely???
Don't want to keep trying it if thats the case.
