Any ideas?
Just fixed a boost leak on my turbo 2000, but it one seems to be boosting at just over 1.5bar, but before was boosting at1.2 bar, the car is standard with the exception of a 3inch decat exhaust? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Oh yeh it's a td04 turbo cheers wiggy1

In that case you can assume the plastic Y piece has had a small leak for a while stopping it from running 1.5 BAR. Maybe it got worse recently for you to notice.
There must be another reason its running such high boost, and as has been suggested it must have been mapped for it to be happy at that level.
Your actuator should open before it reaches 1.5 BAR, so maybe it has a problem and isn't opening fully, or at the right time. Or the pipework around the actuator isn't plumbed in right?
