Flat spot!
Hello ive had my hawkeye scooby Sti for just over a week now, runs great usually with no issues, it was re-mapped years ago my TSL and is running 340ish so usually pulls like a train, noticed on the way home tonight though that if i put my foot down at 2000rpm in 3rd, 4th or 5th then i seem to hit a flat spot for a couple of seconds where it seems to struggle and then all of a sudden it picks up and takes off as per normal.
Anyone any ideas? its still under warranty by the garage i got it from that apparantly covers it for everything except abuse, any help greatly appreciated

Putting your foot down at 2000 rpm in 3rd 4th or 5th id say is just a bit of lag mate, its not in a low enough gear for instant spool so your going to get a flat spot till turbo kicks and whoosh, i would say boost cut would be way up in the 5000 + rpm range myself mate.

So your saying its normal for this turbo? Or could the turbo be cracked?
Spoke to the great sir bob rawle who has advised me to get the compression and leak test done. If this comes back clear then he can tweak the map to rid it of this issue as he said its a fairly common issue with the 2.5 engine.
Its booked in tomorrow to get the checks done so I will post my results up and worse case scenario is I need a tweak and hopefully my warranty will cover this
Cheers ste
