Default Halfords 'motorsport' 5w50 oil?

Hi guys,
I'm meant to be going on a trackday on wednesday at Brands, but just realised i haven't got any oil!
Now i need some to do a change before I go, as i always do, but i don't think I could order any online & receive it in time
I usually use Scoobyclinic stuff (Millers i believe) but has anyone got any input on the halfords motor sport stuff? Or Mobil 1? I ideally need to be able to go into a shop & buy some as time isn't on my side here..
Thanks guys,
James

Get a trade card and it'll be about £34. It was for me!

I have a trade card so you guys used the Mobil 1 in imprezas? I know Mobil 1 is decent stuff, just not sure I trust halfords oil!
May go for that then
Thanks!

Do a search, Mobil 1 and imprezas don't seem to get on too well

Miller CFS 10w50 is a good choice

Costco normally only have 0w 40w. Better to just order from Opie oils and tell them you want it fast. Iv tried several and now buy Gulf Competition 10w 40w which is approx £35 to £39 for 5 litres. Delivery is free over £40 IIRC so just order an oil filter too.

Millers CFS 10w50 is what i usually use, but no where sells that over the counter. I've give Opie a call tomorrow & see if they'll send it next day delivery or something, hadn't thought of that!
JonMC, thanks for that, i hadn't heard that before, i used Mobil in my 200sx & never had an issue, but better safe than sorry so i'll avoid it for the Impreza

Mobil 1 in general is a decent oil but there just seems to be something with the boxer engine. Opie will sort you out I'm sure

How about trying one of the stockists here
http://www.millersoils.co.uk/ukstock...=Find+Stockist

If they don't have it, let me know and I'll have words as they should be stocking the range of Millers Motorsport Oils. Same goes for other stockists around the country.

As others have said, Opie will help at short notice.

I would highly recommend Milers CFS Nanodrive 10x 50 NT. I've done nearly 1000 miles including a track day and 2 sprints as well as a rolling road session and it still looks fresh / nice and yellow
If you give Alyn @ AS Performance a call on Monday, he will be able to get it to you by Tuesday no problem

Do you still get Castrol R.... ?

To answer my own question... yes, castor based though and only suitable for track classics.... damn...

that smell is motorsport....
