Default Tracker battery drain

02 uk sti with the factory tracker fitted. Can someone pm me details of location and how to disconnect the tracker. I'm not subscribed to it and after searching on here think it could be the culprit.

Cheers

My car is parked on the road mate so no chance of having electric running to it over night.

Hi,

sorry for bringing this old one up.
I would also need details of location and how to disconnect the factory tracker.
Car is 2002 STi

It's killing my battery and there is no need for a tracker where I live in Germany.

Regards,
Daniel

location varied but often it's wedged behind the instrument binnacle (two boxes) The binnacle is quite easy to remove.

Thanks John,

read some other ideas where to find it in the meantime.
Have to repair my clock anyway on the weekend, so will strip everything and search for the tracker :-)

Cheers!

Mine was behind the clocks. Easy to remove apart from some sticky stuff holding it in.
Cured my battery trouble.

does anyone know if the 2005 sti model has a tracker fitted as standard? my battery is only lasting a few days on full charge, either something is draining it or its knackered.

Doesn't matter as they are in different locations dependant on the installer, plus any competent thief would find it anyway

For info.... A tracker will not stop your car being stolen. Getting the wreck back maybe.
