Default sensor on my inlet manifold

my question is.
if you look on the back of the inlet manifold near to the fuel filter, there is a black sensor of some sort, but on mine the pipe that runs off it but it doesnt go anywhere

Tumble generator motor vent.

The open ended pipe acts as an air filter and was replaced with a filter on later versions.....................
