Default Bright switch

I'm fitting some lights in the footwells of my classic impreza and wanted to use an orignal impreza switch to switch them on and off.

So my question is if i fit these lights with a bright switch, will it turn them on and off or keep a constant live and just make them brighter and dimmer?

Do you want the lights to come on when you open the door or be able to turn them on at your choice? Not sure of the interior light wiring on a classic. Most cars use a switch on the door to earth the lamp to the chassis thus illuminating the inside of the car.

Nothing to stop you using the bright switch, just disconnect it and use it as a standard on/off switch. It will then need a live feed and the other side to the lights, earth the lights.

I would STRONGLY suggest taking the live feed from IGN live circuits, or first click IGN live.

Examples of the above:
Lights,

Radio.

Get a simple circuit tester to help.
