External wastegate on a VF35?
I'm after the answer to wether it's possible to run an external wastegate on a VF35? also if so is there any bonus to do this? I would imagine better boost control would be the first thing.
Thanks for any input.
Ian.

Best thing to do is get the internal wastegate ported , this solved my boost creep / Boost control problems.
External wastegate is not needed imo

The car isn't running yet but I just like to make thing as good as they can be. If there is no difference between a well ported internal wastegate and an external then I'd stick with the internal however if an external will maintain better boost control then I'd rather cough up now than be disappointed down the line.
Cheers Ian.

I did my old Vf35 and my current turbo the VF48 , using a air grinder. Once you have removed enough material its just a case of getting a smooth finish on the metal

To refit there in a locating pin in the core so you know the orientation/alignment of the housing is in the right place on the core.no parts are needed.
I did this myself because no body does it here in Ireland that I'm aware of and I wasnt in a position to pay to get it sent over to the Uk for the job
