Can anyone help with this I have just got a '02WRX which is awesome. But I want to know the MPH per 1000 revs in say 5th the car is completely standard. Is there a table somewhere on the web or has this been posted before?

If you want i can send you a spreadsheet. All you have to do is input tyre size, gear ratios, diff ratios and the sheet spits out speeds at certain revs or revs at certain speeds.

Quite simple really....

From memory my '02WRX does 40ish in 1st gear, 70 in 2nd and 100 in 3rd.
Can't remember the others, but 4000rpm in 5th is 100mph (I think)
All done on a track!

MY02 STi7

1st 38mph at redline
2nd 58mph at redline
3rd 78mph at redline
4th 100mph+ at redline
5th 142mph at redline
6th picks up from 5th with 5,800 rpm already showing

The above is an extract from an analysis of the standard WRX STi7 Type UK in May's edition of Japanese Performance available from WH Smith, Menzies and other reputable newsagents

Spreadsheet.......Microsoft Excel programme and similar.
Programme which allows mathematical calculations to be carried out within a defined box and displayed elsewhere in other boxes, their location determined by numbered rows and columns.

Sumthin' like that anyways........

Cool

FMI Thursday and final mapping with Bob Saturday so can answer that ? on long drive home Sat. evening. Currently have an issue with boost. U do not want to know what it gets to but it will drop back to 22psi. This may not b good for my bank balance but it is pretty impressive.
Does your chart say how many revs @ 156.1 mph. 3.9diffs. 17" wheels (circ=1850mm). Not exactly sure on top but it could be.7381
Cheers Alan in advance.

HArvey

Assuming 17" tyres are 215/40x17....156.1 mph equates to 6353rpm with the data you gave.

naughty, naughty........
