Hi,
I need some info regarding putting a newage STI engine in a classic WRX.
I know the inlet manifold + ancillaries have to be swapped from the WRX engine onto the STI one, to fit it in a classic.
Also the crankshaft and camshaft pulleys need to be swapped.
There are 2 things I need to know.
1st; What about the AVCS on the STI engine? Can I just fit this engine and not use the AVCS? Can I block off the AVCS in any way?
2nd; Is a remap really necessary? The owner of the car does not want a remap. Is there any way to fit a newage STI engine then, or would he be better off getting a rebuilt classic engine?
Anything I'm missing?
Thanks for any help.
