Default WRX ENGINE NUMBER LOCATION
Hi guys can anyone tell me where to locate the engine number on a wrx my97, the vin munbers are heading towards a 280bhp engine but how can i clarify this? cheers

Engine number should be located above the starter motor on the flat edge of the block passenger side

cheers for that, how many digits will it have ? 6? and will they be numbers or letters in thereas well.

thanks, where can i use this number to gain more knowledge about the engine , that is to say, is it still the factory engine?

Not so much the engine numbers you need, The chassis number If I recall will tell you everything you need to know.

on the Vin plate on top the suspension strut under the bonnet

or if the vin plate has been removed look along the bulkhead to the right of the brake servo its stamped in the metal work
