Default Changing td05 for vf34/35

As above thinking of changing my td05 16g for a vf34/35 as I miss the early spool of my td04 but want to make over the 290 that a hybrid td04 makes. A good idea?? It's a my00 uk turbo btw

A hybrid td04 has been known to get upto 320hp actually, with boost incredibly early I bet it makes a fantastic genuine fast road car!

If you're after the quickest spool possible for 300-320 bhp, I would say the same: hybrid td04.

If not, another option is the vf28.

Hybrid td04 is an awesome turbo, had it on mine. Such fun.
I sold to a mate of mine. He hasn't fitted it yet, could always ask if he is willing to sell.
I can hunt out dyno graph for you. As it made 280 bhp and 310 torque, this was on 2.5 inch exhaust system, then changed to a 3 inch to try and get more and made 300 with same torque.
To be honest prefered it on 2.5 exhaust as it was so quick to spool.

Thanks for the replies. Perhaps I should go hybrid then. Any thoughts on vf30s?

+1 for the above ,vf 28 one of the quickest spooling turbos in the vf range along with vf24,with ported headers & lightened flywheel not to far from a td04 on spool up.Vf30 is a sleeve bearing turbo and identical to vf34 but slower spool up time.
Hybrid td04 imho is the way to go for 300-320 & mega quick spool
