Do not buy any turbo from ebay, very badly built cheap crap. There is one in the for sale section link below. Harvey, Andy Forrest etc sell genuine 20g turbos, only buy genuine.

As above, the new ones on eBay that are usually to good to be true generally are too good to be true!

Do some homework, as if you just bolt on a 20G you will be disappointed, you need to support it, thats where the other expense comes in!

What spec is your car?, and has it been mapped? Who would you use to map it?

i have an ebay 20g on my my05 sti and have had no problems with it so far.
spool up is amazing and holds 1.49bar all the way to the redline.

the guy that mapped my car thinks its now between 380 and 410 with headers and centre section letting me down.

I have an HS TD05 20g on mine.
It also runs tubular headers, a trick Harvey Smith up-pipe, 740's and an FMIC and GUGE induction.

It spools very early, and is a dream to drive, potters around town, then takes off when you give it any beans.

BUT: TD05 20g with no support will be laggy and I wouldn't buy off ebay.

Car ATM has
. 255fuel pump

. Prodrive sport and decat
. 2.5inch cat back system which will be swapped with 3inch system.
Car running 325bhp ATM
Will be getting graham at race dynamix to map

The only new eBay one's which should be ok, are kinugawa turbo / kando dynamics, but they come out expensive by the the time you pay import tax etc..
So probably better of buying a secondhand or new AF or HS one of here.

Iv had Duncan Graham remap mine a couple of times in the past.

MY05 STI
850cc injectors
FMIC
In wing induction kit
Ebay 20g

Rebuild kits are cheap so i thought i would give the turbo a go. i could justify the risk.

Turbo similar to one i bought.

TD05 20g is a old style turbo now there are so many better roller bearing
turbo's out now that are way better, I had a aet 20g and it was laggy as hell with lots of other mods on a 02 sti.

Yiou needed to sort the up-pipe/headers and get a decent mapper on it.

Mine was sorted by Harvey Smith and mapped by Bob Rawle: no lag
