Default Next step. ?

Just after a wee bit of advice lads. My car is sitting around 315 bhp with an andy Forrest remap on a td05 with apexi and commander later spec map sensor and 440,s @ 1.3 bar and I think normal fuel pressure on adjustable fpr. Would like to get a bit more from tha car and wondering if ported headers induction and /or fmic would take me to the 340-350 mark? Also which turbo would be a step up from the td05? Thanks for any suggestions.

Hi there

I've seen on the TD05-16G 340-350bhp,seems on yours little bit more boost with good ported headers(Harvey as example) with up pipe and FMIC you should be have 330-340bhp,but if you will make this power is again question, because all engines are not the same

VF34 or VF35 should be good option, but think you can make similar power with yours TD05-16G,sometimes will help just change the ECU like for something like is SimTek or Syvecs agree is big step,if its worth, yes, but with limited budget i would go as I above suggest

What car? Going above your current level depending on car may put a serious question on your gearbox!

If he using older TMIC which can be inefficient,i would say FMIC is cost effective solution

With FMIC you can get more timing/ignition advance and from this you can get better power

Thanks for replies lads. Jura thanks for your advice as always. Andy Forrest recommended cold air feed induction and front mount as I have the small slanty ic and said we could maybe max the turbo at 340 ish. A guy with a gb 270 made 360 bhp with a vf34 the same day I was mapped so sounds like a good idea Jura. I've also been toying with the idea of an af hybrid td04 as mine doesn't really come alive until 4000rpm so I'm missing the instant pull. I'm assuming a frog mount will only give the current td05 even more lag?

a good ecu AlcateK should be able to adjust parameters to counter act lag on a large core and small turbo combination.

Hi there

With Andy F. mapping, you will see no lag from FMIC,if yes will be marginal and you will this never feel this on the road

Second option is go with STi TMIC

Cold air induction will help and similar we are doing on our one, yours TD05 is all ready good turbo,as I said before 340-350bhp

With any aftermarket ECU is this possible,no just with AlcaTek,AlcaTek upgrade is still not available and hope so this will not end like with SimTek Pro,which is still not available
